This is my grandmother Mary Ruth Jordan – Cedar Falls Mama to her grandchildren. I wish everyone in the world could be loved the way she loved us – it left a mark…in the best possible way.
She died of lung cancer – I remember her in the hospital – so weak – my dad had to help her light her cigarettes – to this day I think doing that broke something in him…So sad. Cancer leaves a mark on the families and friends of those it takes, as well as the survivors.
If this sounds familiar – Know that you are not alone
